Charter’s Emergency Response Team Jumps Into Action

As a result of heavy snow and ice, a main support  beam of a Tacoma warehouse snapped in half causing the roof structure to collapse and the exterior walls to be pushed outward.  Charter responded quickly, installing structural shoring on the exterior walls and shoring supports under the trusses so that the building could become stable and contents removed.

Within 24 hrs of the loss, Charter had the building supported and had mobilized 2 refrigerated semi trailers and 13 dry storage containers on site and began the removal of the contents.  Charter’s quick response resulted in saving all of the owner’s frozen food, valued at $350,000.
