Overton Townhomes, located in Portland, Oregon, is a six building, 12 unit complex. A thorough investigation has uncovered extensive moisture and water intrusion problems due to improper construction.
Charter Construction will tackle the issues in order to bring the buildings into compliance with industry standards and building codes. Work will include the removal and replacement of lap siding and brick veneer with new materials; installation of proper flashing and waterproofing drainage systems; rerouting of gutters; modification of roof cricket framing; installation of proper sealant and flashing details around windows; and correction of existing inadequate deck slopes.
Facing a tight, 6-month schedule, Charter's project team will work closely with the architect and homeowners' association to ensure a well executed project that exceeds expectations.
