The Sheppard Lake Residence is a 4200 SF contemporary home on the western shores of Lake Washington . The structural steel and wood design incorporates three floors of the highest-level finishes, including a wrap around deck to absorb the beautiful panoramic views of Lake Washington and surrounding areas.

Charter Construction excels in innovative solutions related to building on challenging lots. After removing the existing home on the project site, the installation of 20 steel piles began, which were used to stabilize the ground before excavation. The home's foundation was poured upon sixty-seven pipe piles to prevent any potential future movement.

Large custom interior railings were installed via crane and later finished with custom wood handrails and treads.  The home's design allows for natural convection, keeping the home cool during summer months and uses a high efficiency hydronic boiler during the winter.
