Windward Passage is a 4-story, 36 unit condominium complex located along the Washington coast in Long Beach, WA. The building has endured extensive rot and decay from vigorous coastal winds and storms. Remediation work will be completed over three phases by Charter. Phase one was completed three years ago and phase two was completed last year.
Charter crews recently began construction of phase three of the building. Crews are removing the existing siding on the west, north and east elevations, targeting rot repair while the building's framing and sheathing is exposed. The building's existing failed flat roof will be removed, and replaced with a new sloped roof, creating a proper slope to evacuate rainwater. Crews will also replace all doors, windows and decks.
