Owner: Bellevue Condominium Homeowner Association
Architect: JRP Engineering
Completion: January 2005
Constructed in 1996, this 99 unit Bellevue condominium property
had extensive water intrusion problems. Charter completely stripped
off the old vinyl siding, removed decayed materials and then installed
new weatherproofing paper and new flashings. All windows and
sliding glass doors were removed and re-installed in the process
of the re-construction.
In addition, at least half of the decks on the 13 buildings were
completely stripped and replaced, this time with a slight slope for
proper drainage. Since the decks comprise the roofs of the
living space below, and none of the residents moved out during construction,
Charter built temporary canopies to protect the space from the elements.
