Architect: Ross & McClure Architects
Completion: September 1998
When permit delays pinched Chestnut Hill Academy’s already-tight
schedule, few thought it possible for the new learning facility to
open to students as scheduled. Charter knew it could be done, and
employed crews seven days a week to ensure that the new school was
ready for students to begin classes.
The project required both site preparation and construction of a
private elementary school with associated playgrounds and parking
area. As part of the civil work, Charter constructed a 90 ft. by
40 ft. by 8 ft. cast-in-place concrete storm water retention vault.
Charter’s creative problem solving and streamline project
management skills helped ensure that the school was completed on
budget in less than four months.
