Start Date: March 2008
Despite a tight budget and schedule, Charter Construction crews are performing a “head to toe” restoration of the water-damaged Chinook Way apartment complex in Portland, Oregon.
Crews are excavating around the property's perimeter down to the structures' footings to install new below-grade waterproofing. Additional work includes the installation of a new roof, gutters and downspouts; waterproofing of decks; removal and replacement of siding; and replacement of all windows and flashings on six buildings. A pump jack scaffolding system will be used to maneuver around the four story complex.
Working closely with the architect, the architectural look of the buildings will be redesigned by utilizing a variety of Hardi products. Frequent site meetings with all parties will ensure a well-executed project within the 10 month time frame.
