Project Overview
King's Square North, a 13-unit condominium complex located in Portland, OR, required great care and attention to the client's needs by Charter. Significant water damage occurred at the decks of these downtown condominiums, requiring the removal of stucco, concrete toppings slabs and rotten deck framing.
Charter crews removed the building's deck joists and then re-sloped them for proper water drainage. Deck surfaces were re-sheathed and steel deck railings were modified to ensure water-resistance connections. While doors and decks were removed, diverter flashings and drainage pan systems were installed at all roof-to-stucco transitions.
Rebuilding and incorporating new waterproofing systems into a building with special design aesthetics was difficult, but Charter's skilled remediation team delivered while managing tight deadlines and working within firm budgets.
