From complex sitework to intricate millwork, Charter’s involvement
in construction of this detailed mansion encompassed the firm’s
full range of skills.
Construction of the 10,000 SF residence began with demolition of
an existing single family home, more than 5,000 cubic yards of excavation
and backfill site work, and the relocation of two city sewer mains.
The site’s confined nature and environmental sensitivity required
closely phased scheduling and detailed project management. Inside,
the structure’s complex backbone of concrete, steel and wood
is softened by highly refined architectural detailing. The finishes
include complex millwork and elaborate marble, granite, bluestone
and ceramic tile work.
