MARINER CONDOMINIUMS

Owner: Mariner Condominiums HOA

Architect: Morrison Hershfield

Start Date: October, 2008

The Mariner Condominium complex in Edmonds, Washington will undergo a much needed renovation.  Upgrades will include new roofing, siding and architecturally enhanced railings.  The two buildings are currently sided with outdated 1960’s marble-crete.  To increase the value and aesthetics of the property, this material will be removed and replaced with an ultra modern design concept that incorporates the elements of the Pacific Northwest with distinct material styling.

The existing barrel roof system of the Penthouse unit will be replaced using a crane to lift old sections off and install new roof trusses that will be assembled on site.  Prior to siding re-installation, the buildings will undergo a full wrapping system that ensures they are waterproof and breathable.  Proper insulation of walls and re-cabling units are an integral part of upgrading unit energy efficiency.  The new window package that will be installed will yield a higher rating in heat retention and natural lighting capacity.

Beginning the project during the autumn months has made weather protection a high priority.  Charter has fine tuned its schedule to make the most efficient use of best case weather scenarios.

Mariner Condominiums enjoys an expansive view of Puget Sound and the rugged Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges.  As always, Charter Construction aims to provide the condominium owners with a property that increases in value, energy efficiency and visual longevity.
