An extremely aggressive schedule required Charter crews and its
subcontractors to get creative during construction of this new coffee
shop. The tight timeframe meant work was often performed out of sequence
with subcontractors’ tasks often conflicting with those of
other trades. In addition, laydown space was limited and storage
non-existent.
Despite the challenges, Charter’s end product is a highly
sophisticated tenant improvement combining industrial-type products
with traditional materials to create off-beat finishes. The venue’s “vespa” theme
was enhanced with the addition of numerous scooter-related features.
The coffee shop also features high-tech audio, visual and computer
systems.
