This extensive renovation of the nine-building, 54-unit Plum Grove condominium complex required detailed coordination with the residents and homeowners' association. The depth of the upgrades required every homeowner to be relocated during the course of construction, although precise scheduling with subcontractors allowed away-time to be shortened. Homeowners returned to their units ahead of schedule, resulting in considerable savings for the association.
Crews replaced the units' original siding with new siding and trim, and replaced an old single tank hydronic system with an upgraded double tank boiler. Decks were resheathed and recoated and old wooden deck railings were replaced with new fiberglass railings. A new graded trench drain along the front of the decks was installed, eliminating slope from the deck surfaces and allowing residents full use of the spaces.
