Charter delivered five-star service with construction of this spa
inside a four-star resort.
The Japanese-style spa addition was located inside the renowned
Salish Lodge, requiring crews to implement a detailed construction
schedule that would not interrupt ongoing hotel operations. Additionally,
a detailed design required the addition’s structural members
to become part of the finished product, challenging Charter crews
to construct the addition to the closest tolerances possible.
The structural steel and wood framed structure included custom soaking
pools, specialty lighting and traditional Japanese-style sliding
screens, as well as steam and sauna rooms, massage rooms and mud
bath rooms.
