The Salmon Bay Marine Center is a new commercial industrial project located on a large waterfront site on Seattle's Salmon Bay. Featuring five separate buildings, the Salmon Bay Marine Center will provide much needed marine related shop and office space to serve the local maritime industry.
Major site improvements will be completed during construction, including the demolition of existing buildings and the installation of new utilities. The foundations will be auger cast piles with a structural concrete slab. Architectural metal siding and structural steel will be featured on the buildings' exteriors.
The project site is bisected by a 72" sanitary sewer line, which will be tapped during construction. This phase of the project will require careful planning and scheduling to allow other site work to continue uninterrupted.
