Turtle Cove is a new single-family residence that Charter Construction is building on the shore of Lake Washington in the Madison Park area. Although modeled after Tuscan style villas, Turtle Cove will feature many complex design and engineering technologies such as the use of geothermal heating and cooling systems and photovoltaic systems used to supplement energy usage.
The residence's exterior construction will feature a cast in place architectural concrete shell with custom wood doors and windows. Once complete, the home will use several different species of ivy which will eventually cover the home, growing from a rooftop garden. Additionally, the home will include Wilkeson sandstone and a new drive court, all of which will add to the home's historic influence.
High-end interior finishes will include French oak flooring and a custom, cast in place spiral staircase. Both the staircase and foyer will feature French marble. Custom millwork and finish carpentry by Charter's experienced team will be featured throughout the home.
Many of the materials removed from the project site will reused in other parts of the home. Timbers logged off of the project site will be milled and later incorporated into the cabana. The site will also include a greenhouse, spa and pool.
Charter's "Whatever it takes" attitude will ensure the intense schedule will be executed on time and on budget.
