Charter was entrusted with the far-reaching renovation of the historic Tregoning House, a residence designed by one of Seattle’s pioneering architects: Arthur Loveless. While the home’s sturdy brick exterior remains relatively untouched, its interior has been largely gutted and rebuilt. Crews have constructed a ballroom, map room, project room and changing area/bathroom on the lower floor, which opens up to a series of terraces overlooking Magnolia, Puget Sound and Elliott Bay.

A spa enclosure, a series of planters and a water feature highlight the terraces, and the home’s main floor kitchen and powder room was also refinished. The residence’s original design intent is maintained through the use of mahogany windows and doors; maple and fir cabinets; Venetian plaster; stone countertops and fir bead board.
