Construction of this weekend retreat and educational center engaged the full spectrum of Charter’s skills. From hoisting massive architectural grade timbers to building a detailed stone fireplace by hand, crews fulfilled the owner’s request for an awe-inspiring facility rich in craftsmanship.  The complex heavy timber structure uses Douglas fir timber, evoking visions of a traditional Japanese temple.

Because the structure was located in the middle of a functioning horticulture reserve, Charter was unable to expand its work area to more than five feet beyond the building line. Despite the stringent site limitations, Charter still delivered the project on time and under budget, garnering numerous local and national industry awards for construction excellence in the process.

When Charter takes on a job, I know that satisfaction is guaranteed.
