Group Health Credit Union
Charter combined old with new when rebuilding this architecturally detailed credit union branch.
The 10,000 SF building was stripped to its original steel frame and completely renovated. Throughout the building, existing structural members were integrated with new, intricately detailed finishes. The existing steel frame was restored as a finish surface while the new teller line was made of a steel beam to match the architectural detail.
A crowded site in a busy part of town made access difficult. Crews carefully planned material deliveries and equipment staging to minimize impact to surrounding neighbors.
Charter kept to a complicated schedule, which included relocating credit union operations and maintaining the computer center in the basement during the renovation.
