Heatherwood Condominiums

The Heatherwood at Lakeland Condominiums, located in Auburn, WA required a complete envelope remediation as a result of insufficient waterproofing details in the original construction.

The 92-unit complex includes 16 buildings, and repairs were made with a fast track schedule. Scope included the complete strip and reclad of vinyl siding; removal of existing windows, sliding glass doors and swing doors; structural, framing and sheathing repairs; deck repairs and new deck flashings and waterproofing; and vapor barrier primer and paint at all interior of exterior walls.

Challenges included a tight budget and schedule and access issues during the repair of the elevated walkway. Homeowners were alerted to all construction activities via Charter’s notification system.
