Charter fulfilled the request of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church leaders for more space by replacing the church’s sanctuary and expanding the administration wing. Charter’s preconstruction services provided the owners with value engineering methods that maximized their purchase power and brought the job to completion well within the original budget.

The scope of work included new classrooms, additional offices and a spacious new sanctuary using a structural steel tension ring for the framework with a heavy timber infill ceiling that remained exposed. Renovation to the existing spaces included installation of new fire sprinklers, HVAC system and fire alarms.

We at St. Margaret's feel truly fortunate in being able to partner in this endeavor with an organization such as Charter. Charter's employees have risen to the challenges of working on a jobsite which the customer continues to occupy and where the customer's work involves dozens, if not hundreds, of visitors daily. Charter worked with us to find solutions and has gone the extra mile to make sure that St. Margaret's work is disrupted as little as possible.
