Charter Construction worked closely with an owner that was deeply involved in all aspects of design and construction of this dual-purpose home and photography studio overlooking Puget Sound. The synergy created during the two-year working relationship inspired unique detailing and exclusive features. The result is a striking hillside residence with highly customized finishes.
Located next to a ravine and surrounded by steep slopes, the site is designated as an environmentally critical area. Charter took great care to ensure the structural stability of the soils and to protect neighboring properties from any adverse effects as a result of the construction.
When I interviewed Charter Construction, I was impressed with their chemistry and teamwork. During the whole process of construction they were an inspiration of creativity and positive attitude. They brought a philosophy of practicality and a high regard for the art of building to the project, which enabled them to realize the architect’s vision as well as create a livable space.
