Wedgewood Apartments, located in Seattle, WA was plagued with deficiencies resulting from improper construction.
The scope of repairs included the strip and reclad of fiber cement siding; PVC window and door installations; new weather resistant barrier and flashing systems; installation of deck and roof coatings; trenching and storm drainage; and extensive landscaping. Residents were kept informed of all scheduled work through Charter’s resident liaison. The team worked to minimize the amount of disturbance to the residents and neighbors while providing a safe worksite.
The Seattle Housing Authority has certified Charter as a Section 3 contractor, and much of the work on this project was completed by Charter’s minority workforce at prevailing wage rates.
