David Brown’s experiences have added to his encompassing knowledge of construction industry safety and human resources issues.

Brown started his construction career as a laborer, moving through the ranks as a site safety officer and safety manager. Brown understands the types of programs necessary to maintain a work environment that draws the highest quality employees to Charter’s projects. As Charter’s safety and craftworker human resources director, Brown combines this experience to create successful safety and human resources programs for the company.

Encouraging success among employees through personal empowerment defines Brown’s management style. He excels in creative and inventive problem solving under pressure and creates an organizational infrastructure in the firm that achieves immediate as well as long-term strategic goals.

Brown’s effective handling of human resources issues, safety programs, clear interpretation of regulations and valuable organizational skills have helped create a culture that helps team members achieve their highest potential.


In October, 2006, Brown earned the "Construction Risk Insurance Specialist" (CRIS) certification from the Institute of Risk Management as a means to curtailing the spiraling insurance and benefit costs the industry continues to experience.
