Summary of Qualifications

With more than 20 years of experience in a variety of construction types, Bruce Roundy is well-versed in his role as a Charter superintendent. His knowledge of the industry also serves him well as a consultant and chief investigator to Charter’s Construction Defect Repair team. In this capacity, Bruce is responsible for all initial investigations and quality control for Charter’s numerous and diverse CDR projects.

Bruce holds an Associate of Arts degree in construction management and has extensive field experience as a carpenter, foreman and superintendent. His vast array of projects includes high-end custom homes, condominiums, industrial plants, schools and high-tech facilities.

Selected Projects

  • Galer Gardens Condominiums - Led construction on extensive CDR job requiring considerable basement-to-roof shoring to accommodate interior renovation while occupied; coordinated plan for ground-floor businesses to remain open during extensive, ongoing repair work.
  • Marine Vista – Performed exterior stucco repair of 10,000-sq.-ft. condo; replaced roof and added new walkways and entrance.
  • Manhattan Square – Fast-track CDR job completed ahead of schedule despite drastic mid-project scope change.
  • UPS Transformer Addition – Supervised facility construction and difficult substation installation ahead of schedule and under budget.
  • Brightwater Condominiums – Completed significant repairs to 28-unit, occupied condo building; designed and installed creative shoring system to support structure while decayed structural members were replaced.
  • Nautica Condominiums – EIFS removal on 64-unit condo complex; construction of new roof system, deck system, doors and handrails.
  • Cascade Commons – Water intrusion repair job encompassing nearly all aspects of complex; foundation repair, removal and replacement of all exterior stucco, installation of new atrium windows, decks, copings and railings.
When an onsite forensic investigation for water intrusion at the Junction Tower Condominiums revealed the need for additional work, Charter stepped up to the plate and incorporated the changes without an increase in general costs.
