Summary of Qualifications

With over 15 years of experience in commercial, high-end residential, and remediation construction, Dan Ulrich has become a valued member of Charter’s field management team. Dan has applied his skills on a variety of Charter’s most impressive projects, including the construction of a 12,000 SF mixed use apartment building, to a high-level custom finish home overlooking Seattle’s Puget Sound.

Starting as a journeyman carpenter and moving up to superintendent, Dan’s experience has resulted in well-crafted leadership abilities, fine communication skills and a "whatever it takes" attitude.

Selected Projects

  • Windermere Residence - Supervised the construction of a new, 6,500 square foot single family residence that includes over 800 cubic yards of architectural concrete, exposed raw steel, floor to ceiling windows/doors with 14’ ceilings throughout, a 4,500 square foot red fescue green roof and solar hot water heat system.
  • Sweetbrier Apartments Mixed-use building including three levels of residential apartment units located above one ground level of retail/commercial with two and a half levels of below grade parking.
  • Alana Residence New construction of a 4,000 SF residence featuring exposed structural steel, architectural concrete and glass walls. A large stainless steel bank vault entry door and two motorized pivoting doors welcome guests into an open floor plan with solar heating and black terrazzo, radiant heated floors.
  • Glendale Country Club - Supervised the re-roof, construction of clubhouse, energy efficiency upgrades, tear down existing and build a new pro shop, hardscape and landscaping.
  • Fortune View Condominiums - Selective strip and re-clad of a condominium complex and complete removal and replacement of all windows.
  • One Central Park 13 buildings, 100 units of siding strip and re-clad and deck replacement.
  • Newman Center New construction of the Catholic Newman Center, located directly across from the University of Washington. The two-story building houses offices, classrooms and library space, dormitory style living quarters, and the Prince of Peace Chapel.
  • Lake Cavvennah Cabin - 3700 sq ft cabin with detailed cedar finishes at the exterior and pine finishes interior.  The project was made challenging by the very basic set of plans and the challenge of getting materials to the remote site.
  • St. Margaret's Church Charter replaced the church’s sanctuary and expanded the administration wing. The scope of work included new classrooms, additional offices and a spacious new sanctuary using a structural steel tension ring for the framework with a heavy timber infill ceiling that remained exposed.
  • Motorfreight Building - New construction of 18,000 SF distribution center.
Charter Construction recently completed its quickest new residential project to date - the construction of a new 6,500 square foot residential home in just over 12 months.

Charter combined thrift, ingenuity and creativity to build this multi-purpose center for owners with high expectations and a modest budget.
