Summary of Qualifications

Don Lauren’s 33 years in the construction industry have taken him across the western United States as a journeyman carpenter. He has worked in Washington, Arizona and California on projects ranging from single-family residences to theaters, libraries and hospitals. Lauren’s creativity and problem-solving skills serve him well as a Charter superintendent. He is dedicated to completing schedules ahead of time and under budget, and credits his close communication with project owners as a great part of his success.

Selected Projects

  • Trailwalk Apartments – completed construction defect repair of 120-unit apartment complex within an aggressive, fast-track, three-month schedule; replaced damaged support columns, replaced flashings and rebuilt decks while complex remained occupied
  • Bellevue Condominiums – reconstruction of all exterior water damaged decks; removal of original siding and repair of water damaged material; installation of new vinyl siding at 100-unit condominium complex
  • Carillon Heights Condominiums – removed topping slab and old membrane and installed new membrane and pavers; completed work on schedule despite increase in project scope from $440,000 to $1.3million; coordinated difficult access to project surrounded by water.
  • Ballard Retirement Center – complete construction defect repair of retirement residence; stucco reclad
  • Marvin Gardens Apartments – stucco reclad of downtown Seattle apartment complex on south and west elevations
  • Naval Station Everett – supervised construction of five new buildings at federal site, including security canine kennel and naval firing range
Constructed in 1996, this 99 unit Bellevue condominium property had extensive water intrusion problems.
Faced with severe decay due to water intrusion, these four buildings in the 16-building condominium complex required a complete renovation.
