Bob Jacques’ 30-year construction career began as an apprentice carpenter
in New England. He has since gained extensive knowledge and experience in commercial
projects, as well as the skills to complete highly detailed residential construction
and historic renovations. The quality of his work, as well as his commitment
to a job done well, makes him one of Charter’s valued superintendents.

- Led construction team on challenging restoration of 38-room Smart/Hallman
residence in New England

restaurants, schools, churches, bridges and office buildings

- Laurelhurst Residence – supervised 3,000 SF renovation of 1926-era
home, including 2,000 SF of new construction
- Laurelhurst Carriage House Phase II – supervised construction of
new, 3,000 SF guest house; coordinated property grade change to integrate
with existing residence; installation of perimeter shoring walls
- Kinokuniya Bookstore – construction of high-end Seattle bookstore
with international design team; relied heavily on technology to communicate
and send drawings; includes custom finishes such as slate flooring, granite
countertops and a Venetian wall plaster with integral color and sheen
- Symonds Engineering – completed fast-track tenant improvements
- Forest Lynn Condominiums – supervised construction defect repairs
to 14 separate buildings in half the estimated schedule and under budget;
substantial savings to owners
- Pike Place Market – supervised remodel of restrooms at popular Seattle
tourist destination
- Seattle Athletic Club – oversaw water intrusion repair work at busy
athletic club while in operation
- Weldco-Beales – remodeled building for heavy equipment manufacturing
company; include code and electrical upgrades
- One Carillon Point – construction defect repair
work included removal of topping slab and old membrane and installation of
new membrane and pavers; completed work on schedule despite increase in project
scope from $440,000 to $1.3 million; coordinated difficult access to project
surrounded by water
