Summary of Qualifications
Kevin Nelson has been exposed to the construction industry since he was a child, learning from his father. He owned his own siding business for many years before joining the restoration field as a superintendent and project manager, overseeing reconstruction projects. Working on a mitigation team, Kevin was responsible for coordinating and estimating insurance losses for both single and multi family residences.
Kevin has a proven record of successfully completing difficult projects with tight schedules and budgets. His ability to work in emergency situations with limited communication and logistical support is critical to a successful project.
Selected Projects
- Tigard Condominium Reconstruction Project–Managed an 8 unit condominium reconstruction project in Tigard that was damaged by falling trees and rain. The repairs included the replacement of the tile roof and exterior siding, framing repairs, flooring, drywall and paint. Residents had to relocate during the repairs, and careful coordination with owners and subcontractors was important. The project successfully met budget and schedule.
- Pearl District Water Loss–Managed and estimated a 4 story water loss. The water damage started on the 8th floor and water damage was found through to the 4th floor. Every unit had some degree of damage, including flooring, drywall and paint, cabinets, contents. Daily interaction with homeowners and subcontractors was necessary in order to meet schedule.
