Summary of Qualifications

Pete Shook has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and has spent the last 12 years as Charter Construction’s lead investigator for construction defect repair projects. Pete has extensive field experience as a carpenter, foreman and superintendent in high end residential and commercial construction.

Pete has been integral at Charter in developing and implementing field investigation techniques that are standards for both its Seattle and Portland offices. He currently leads all of Charter’s in-house forensic building investigations and assists property managers and condominium associations with mandatory inspections that are required by Washington state law.

Professional Accomplishments

  • Performed over 150 intrusive building envelope investigations in both Washington and Oregon
  • Lead investigator of Charter’s Forensic Investigation Team, which identifies construction defects causes and formulates repair plan
  • Oversees all construction defect repair warranty work in Washington
