Summary of Qualifications

Joining Charter in 2006, Ray Myers brought with him over 12 years of field construction experience. He began as part of the investigations team and has been instrumental to the success of many large scale investigations.

Skilled in the evaluation and repair of all phases of residential and commercial construction, along with effective coordination, planning and scheduling, Ray was promoted to Project Manager. His current responsibilities include estimating, writing proposals, scheduling, maintaining quality control and safety.
 

Selected Projects 

  • Promenade at Bethany Village – Involved in the investigation of the 4 story, 102 unit condominium complex that led to a full strip and reclad and complex concrete deck rehabilitation.
  • Conestoga Middle School – Investigation of the 50,000 SF middle school in Beaverton, OR. Required full strip and reclad in a tight 3-month schedule.
  • Chinook Way Apartments – Investigated the 6 building, 124 unit apartment complex in Fairview, OR requiring full restoration. Chronic leaks were identified at all below grade parking garages.
  • Devonshire Townhomes – Involved in the investigation of the 30 unit townhome development requiring extensive building improvements and waterproofing details that were missing from the original construction.
  • Good Samaritan Hospital – 20,000 SF of space affected at the fertility clinic at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, OR. The clinic remained open for the duration of the repairs. Working around the clock, crews completed the remediation ahead of schedule in only 9 days.
  • Lofts at the Round - Responded to an emergency water loss at this condominium complex.
  • The Mews at North Harbour - Investigated the 32 unit condominium complex with construction defects. Required full strip and reclad.
  • Four Seasons Condominiums - Investigated the 1960's 8 story, 46 unit building which led to installation of a new, Ceraclad siding system with rainscreen and replacement of building components that had reached the end of their useful life.
  • Graystone Condominiums - Charter performed the investigation scope of work during the litigation phase and later negotiated with the owners to perform the necessary rehabilitation at the 96 unit, 25 building complex in Happy Valley, OR.
The 32-unit building overlooking the Columbia River in Portland, OR required a full strip and reclad.
Charter worked closely with the owners and the architect to balance the need for improving the waterproofing performance of these buildings while maintaining aesthetics.
