Summary of Qualifications
Bill Sappington brings his extensive knowledge of large-scale commercial construction and thirty-three years of experience in the industry to Charter Construction as a superintendent.

As a fifteen year old, Bill began working on construction job sites after school, on holidays and summer vacations. At the age of 18, he began an apprenticeship program, taking him from residential trim finish work to supervising the construction of the one of the largest seafood packing plants in Alaska.

Sappington's wide depth of experiences from running his own contracting companies, to working on commercial projects of all types and sizes has given Bill an excellent reputation for doing “whatever it takes” to keep projects on time and on budget.

Selected Projects

Lothlorien Apartments: A 160,000 SF apartment building with five levels of residential living space and one level each of retail and office space. Lothlorien features two levels of underground parking as well.
Alaska Seafood Processing Plant: Careful planning and coordination of deliveries and supplies was essential during the construction of this seafood processing plant located on an island off the coast of Alaska. With a project cost of 32 million dollars, the facility was the largest seafood processing plant on the upper west coast at time of construction.
Denny Building: After suffering from severe fire damage, only the building's original exterior was saved by construction crews on the Denny Building. The 6.1 million dollar rebuild included completely gutting the building's interior and reconstructing it. The project was the recipient of Washington State's highest historical building restoration award in 2002.
The Garden Apartments: Included twelve, two-story buildings with 112 units in this complex located in San Jose, California. With a project cost of 13.7 million dollars and an extremely critical project deadline, maintaining a tight schedule was of high importance.
