Summary of Qualifications

With over 30 years of field experience, 12 as a superintendent in the Pacific Northwest,, Tom Hammons brings to Charter a wealth of knowledge in commercial, residential and mixed use building. He has worked extensively with concrete and foundations, led work on numerous high rise condominiums and has overseen several projects dealing primarily with building envelope repairs.

Tom’s strict attention to details, schedule and safety are the driving forces behind his success. Working closely with owners, architects and subcontractors, Tom gives his full attention to every project he’s involved in.

Selected Projects 

  • Lofts at the Round Supervised the envelope remediation on this 72,000 sf mixed use condominium in Beaverton, OR.  2 buildings, 65 units.  All windows were replaced with a new flashing detail, increasing the number of rough window openings to over 800.
  • Lake Oswego High School – Supervised the mold remediation of the exterior wall system
  • Equinox Apartments—The 300,000 SF mixed-use apartment building consists of three different interconnected structures with three levels of underground parking. 204 residential units feature large windows, custom cabinetry, hardwood floors and high-end appliances. With an exterior clad in brick, architectural metal and lap siding, the building is surrounded by a 9,600 SF landscaped courtyard.
  • Brix Condominiums—Charter Construction teamed with Portland based Anderson Construction Company to bring this mixed use condominium building back on track. Located in Seattle’s Capital Hill neighborhood, Brix features 141 residential condominiums and 7,700 SF of retail with underground parking.
  • St. Vincent Hospital—Superintendent on the St. Vincent Hospital project; responsibilities included layout of foundation and quality control of steel building structure
  • Providence Health Care Systems—Superintendent overseeing layout, foundation, structure and site improvements during construction of the POP building
  • Mother Joseph Plaza, St. Vincent Hospital—Superintendent on the Mother Joseph Plaza at St. Vincent Hospital project
Equinox, a 300,000 square foot mixed-use apartment building consists of three different interconnected structures with three levels of underground parking.
Located in Beaverton, OR, the Lofts at the Round consists of three floors of condominiums comprising 65 units built above 15,000 square feet of commercial retail space.

Charter Construction was hired to bring this mixed use condominium building back on track.
