Force 10 PerformanceCharter Construction completed the first of four planned Force 10 Performance training centers in the greater Seattle area. Located in Redmond, a pre-existing 8,000 SF warehouse space was remodeled into a community based, multi-sport training facility that features space for indoor spin cycling, ACT training, weight lifting, basketball courts and locker rooms. Custom metal work and a unique athletic grade flooring system with custom stenciling was used throughout the facility and training rooms. The space was designed by Charter’s in-house design team and required special attention to the needs of a cutting edge athletic training facility.
To prepare the project site seismic upgrades were made to the main floor and roof, and sound proofing was added to the second floor. Both the main and second floors were completely redesigned to accommodate the various training rooms including the addition of an office space, break rooms and a new reception/entry space that features aluminum bleachers in the waiting area. A new HC elevator was installed allowing easier access to the second floor.
