Built in 2001, Cascadian Court features many eye-catching architectural details such as large floor to ceiling glass windows and exposed structural steel panels. Much needed repairs were performed throughout the 8-story, 60 unit building to correct problems with the weather resistant barrier (WRB) and deck coatings. Several crews worked simultaneously on different elevations to carefully tie the repairs into the existing structure.
Completing the repairs at Cascadian Court came with many challenges requiring significant foresight and planning. With its dense popular downtown location and close proximity to public transit and retail, jobsite safety was critical. Additionally, crews had limited access to the building, using only scaffold and swing stages to work and had minimal material laydown areas. Charter’s dedicated construction team worked effortlessly to ensure the project’s challenges were met and completed on time and on budget.
