Built in 1979, Village by the Lake condominiums is a 9-building, 3-story, 193 unit residential complex located in Everett, Washington. The existing siding has failed and that coupled with the age of the building, will require substantial rot repair to the sheathing and structural framing of the buildings.
Decks at each of the units were inspected and will be repaired as necessary. Charter will install new plywood flooring, deck coatings and flashing details. In addition to the new rain-screen siding, windows and sliding glass doors will be removed and re-installed with new, energy efficient products.
The units at Village by the Lake will remain occupied while the project progresses and will require special precautions to be taken at the jobsite. Charter’s project management team will work closely with both the architect and owners to ensure the goals of the project are not only met, but exceeded.
