Nearly 30 years of construction experience have taught Terry Baird that no job is impossible. He has tested that belief on countless residential and commercial construction projects, bringing enthusiasm and a can-do attitude to each job he supervises.
Terry honed his skills as a framer building high-end residences, and also managed his own company. He has experience on all types and sizes of jobs. His exceptional staff management skills translate into well-executed projects. Terry communicates well with owners, architects and subcontractors, which results in the timely completion of projects on budget.
Selected Projects
- The Mews at North Harbour - Full strip and reclad of 32 unit building overlooking the south channel of the Columbia River.
- Promenade Condominiums – Located on the Oregon Coast in Seaside, the five story, 17-unit condominium building was plagued with water intrusion problems, rust and dry rot. Vinyl siding was replaced with Hardi plank and shingle, badly damaged metal windows were replaced with vinyl, a new sprinkler system was installed to meet fire coded rating, and new deck and breezeway traffic coatings were installed.
- Windward Passage – Four-story, 36-unit condominium building located in Long Beach, Washington requiring extensive rot repair. Crews experienced severe weather conditions while rebuilding and re-siding significant portions of the building. The project was completed on time and within budget.
- Paradise Dormitory - Supervised crew on award-winning Paradise Employee Dormitory job.
- Heily Residence – Construction of museum-quality home on steep slope, requiring intense stabilization of foundation system
- Newman Center – Two-story, multi-purpose facility and chapel; carefully salvaged materials from existing structures reused in new construction; delivered high-quality project on modest budget
- Chavelle Residence – Construction of museum-quality waterfront residence requiring precise craftsmanship; open communication with close neighbors potentially impacted by construction
- Chestnut Hill Academy – Fast-track construction of new elementary school in four months despite tight schedule impacted by permit delays
- Seward Park Professional Building – Delivery of high-end office building ahead of schedule despite change of foundation design during sitework phase
- Seattle Athletic Club – 10-day fast-track remodel of athletic club’s locker room and spa while occupied

Heavy traffic or scheduling conflicts are typical reasons for material delivery delays at most jobsites, but it’s rare that a black bear can be blamed.

Charter combined thrift, ingenuity and creativity to build this multi-purpose center for owners with high expectations and a modest budget.

Located on the Oregon Coast in Seaside, this 17-unit building experiences its fair share of stormy weather with high winds, excessive rain and moisture.
