Charter Construction extensively renovated this historic residence that was designed by the noted Seattle architect, Arthur Loveless.

Major changes were performed on each of the home’s three floors.  Most dramatically, crews removed the existing elevator, then created much-needed storage areas in the recovered space.  Charter’s carpenters created custom trim work throughout the 6,600 square foot home, meticulously matching the existing antique materials. Kitchen cabinets and tile were replaced, and new pavers were installed on the upper outside patio to create better drainage.

Charter crews overcame many challenges during the project including the installation of structural steel upgrades. Throughout the residence, Charter rerouted ductwork, supplied heat and air conditioning to new areas and executed performance tests to ensure that maximum equipment efficiency was achieved. Charter worked closely with both the client and the architect to make sure their needs were met throughout the entire construction process.

The conscientiousness and quality that Charter brought to the job every day for 8 months was phenomenal.
