Glendale Country Club
The Glendale Country Club in Bellevue, WA, required substantial repairs due to water damage at structural beams and posts and included upgrades for energy efficiency. Phase One of the repair focused on the roof; crews replaced the existing wood shake with a metal roof, and reframed new entries with a green roof.
Phase Two repairs included demolition and rebuilding of the pro shop. Parts of the existing slab on grade and footings were re-used, a new green roof was installed, as well as new trellises, concrete stairs and hardscape.
Working within a tight budget and short schedule, the project team faced significant challenges, including performing all repairs while the business remained in full operation. Frequent communication with the owners and architect as well as effective management of the schedule were critical in the project’s successful completion.
