Stuhlberg's
When the owners of a well-known Queen Anne Hill fine home accessory store needed an extensive renovation completed in time for the Christmas shopping season, they called Charter Construction.
Crews not only met that goal, but helped create an aesthetically inviting building that retains the original structure’s historic character and draws customers year round.
The existing Stuhlberg’s Fine Home Accessories store – housed in a turn-of-the-century home on Queen Anne Avenue – was expanded when the owner purchased the property adjacent to the business. Charter performed a seismic upgrade to the existing building with structural steel moment frames and new glu-lam beams; installed all new HVAC, plumbing, electrical and sprinkler systems; added a new roof and created a striking new glass “jewel box” entry. A garage behind the property was removed for construction of a 500-ft. addition.
