Pacific Care

Pacific Care and Rehabilitation Center is located in Hoquiam, Washington. It is a state of the art therapy and skilled nursing facility that employees 93 staff members and 100 senior patients at any given time. In January of 2015, 7.17 inches of rain fell in 24 hours… it was the 100 year flood and the capacity for the Pacific Care facility to keep the water out was overcome. A true disaster forced out the staff and patients. The patients were relocated to other hospitals and senior living facilities in the state. The staff was out of work and many lives were disrupted. Charter Construction responded and was given a very short 90-day duration to get Pacific Care back up and running at full capacity. All therapy equipment, kitchen equipment, living spaces, community spaces and nursing stations were removed. There were 4’ flood cuts made in the drywall of every room so the building could be dried. Charter Construction worked hand in hand with the Owner of the facility, the facility staff, DOH, DSHS, and the City officials of Hoquiam to return Pacific Care to a building that was better than the existing one within our 90 day schedule.
